The female network?
Do we need a female network?
Yes, I think so, but not in a traditional way… because I think we as women are different.
When looking at social media and the current landscape of female networking I feel sad. Women feel lost. Everybody is trying to extend their current network, but it seems rather desperate. People promise following other people back just to gain more reach and others posting content, where nobody can get anything out of it. It feels like we never learned to network. We need guidance and a better way to show our support for each other. We need incentives to help each other and transform the way women communicate with each other without a sense of jealousy or competition.
Why it is currently not working
- everybody is looking for attention but not willing to share more
- women target women without intention, we are cannibalising ourselves
- everybody wants to get rich quick
- nobody wants to do real work
- women are still not equal and that makes us hide in our heads
- mental load lets us function in emergency mode which holds us back in our communication
What women can achieve with a female network
- building confidence
- combine our knowledge and skills
- building businesses
- do the real innovative work
- provide a different view at the world and its problems
- protecting the world and our loved ones
- create independent women
Women want to be heard! Let’s make plans to conquer the world. Because we see the world with different eyes, than it was seen up until now. We can leverage all our different skills to build something beautiful. First in small groups and when putting all pieces together we can move mountains. But we have to get organized and learn to trust each other.
What can we do now?
- Get some structure into our circles (circles based on interest and knowledge)
- create meaningful connections
- build work groups and solve problems – we are problem solvers but often feel alone so we think we can’t make an impact
- make new friends – but no gossip, focus on tasks with impact
- create platforms and products for women

The first step will be to work on the way we communicate together. The goal – create a space where women feel empowered, connected, and supported in their personal and professional journeys.
