2. Free up time & minimize
The items and social responsibilities we have are connected to the time we need to spend to maintain them. Therefore we would suggest to
- reduce the items in your home so you don’t have to tidy up, organize and clean them
- make it a habit to throw away/donate at least 5 items per day
- stop impulse shopping
- avoid your phone/tv/social media & stop procrastinating
3. Create new routines and habits
It takes quite some time to prepare for change. But you can start today with implementing small and effective routines. The goal is to have your head and time free to focus on what is important. Here are some suggestions:
- If it takes 2 minutes or less -> do it now
- Do 1 thing today, that makes tomorrow easier
- Clean kitchen every evening
- Read 5-10 pages to learn something new
- Say “no” to things that don’t help you grow or bring you joy
4. Learn about finance
There is one type of knowledge every woman should have and this is financial literacy. Therefore being able to understand financial terms, knowing the investment options and being able to plan is the biggest step towards independence.
After gaining knowledge it is time to assess your personal financial situation and act accordingly in order to provide a stable environment for your life.
5. Reduce mental load
Modern life bombards us with information and responsibilities. Combat mental overload by taking time for yourself (meditation, journaling, collection of tasks) as well as delegating responsibilities to family members, partners or friends.
